State Primary 2018

The 2018 State Primary election will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Polls in Dover will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There are three separate ballots in a primary election: One for registered Republicans, one for registered Democrats, and one for Libertarians.

Voters who are undeclared, and who wish to vote, can declare a party on the day of the primary and will receive that party's ballot. Voters can change party status back to undeclared by signing a form at the polls, following the vote. Voters already registered as Democrat or Republican cannot change party affiliation until one day after the election.
