Beginning the week of Aug. 14, the Whittier Street bridge contractor, E.D. Swett, will work six days per week, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The additional hours are necessary as crews work to open the bridge to traffic prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Additionally, work crews will mobilize very early on Wednesday, Aug. 16 and Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017. On Wednesday, crews will be on site at 5 a.m. to receive large steel beams being delivered to the site. Crews will begin at 6 a.m. on Thursday to move the steel beams into position.
