The Cochecho Waterfront Development Advisory Committee (CWDAC) recently made some changes to the committee's membership.

CWDAC welcomed newly appointed member Samia Touma. The Dover Housing Authority Commissioners appointed Touma on Jan. 23 to take the place of Carla Goodknight, who resigned after moving out of Dover. Touma has a strong background in architectural design and project management, and earned her master's degree in architecture from Laval University in Quebec City. Dana Lynch, CWDAC Chair commented, “As CWDAC moves forward with the review of project design plans and oversight of the development process, Samia's participation will be invaluable.”

Additionally, four current members of CWDAC were reappointed to another three-year term by the Dover Housing Authority Commissioners. The terms of Norm Fracassa, Dane Drasher, Kyle Pimental and Dennis Ciotti now last until March 30, 2021.

Lastly, at their March 20 meeting, CWDAC conducted their annual election and voted for new officers for 2018. Dana Lynch was elected as the Chair of the Committee and Norm Fracassa accepted the position of Vice Chair.

The mission of CWDAC is to provide a vibrant waterfront with public gathering places and access to the water, a place for people to live, meet, relax, encounter nature, conduct business and learn of Dover's past.
