Spur Road Reconstruction

Spur Road Reconstruction

Project Update

Project Description:

The City of Dover is planning a reconstruction of Spur Road by replacing the drainage and installing a section of water main from Finch Lance to New Bellamy Road.

Current Status:

Spur Road is closed to all traffic at 67 Spur Road, about half way between New Bellamy Lane and Finch Lane. The closure is necessary during the installation of a box culvert, part of the Spur Road Reconstruction Project.

This work is expected to continue for at least one week, during which time the road will remain closed continuously.

In addition to the closure, water will be shut off to a portion of Spur Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for three days beginning Wednesday, April 1, and concluding Friday, April 3. This shut-off will affect residents on Spur Road from New Bellamy Lane to, and including, Bellamy River Village. The city is attempting to provide notice in advance, as these shut-offs occur. Water service will be restored, each day, as soon as the work is complete.

Although not part of the reconstruction project, residents may notice some tree-trimming operations on Spur Road. This work is being conducted by Eversource as part of its ongoing power line maintenance program.
