Kid's Programs

The stories, games, finger plays, and activities used in story time are designed to foster a love of language and books, introduce standard works of literature for young children, provide your child with an early group experience, encourage an increased attention span, demonstrate new activities for you to enjoy with your child at home and provide a pleasant introductory experience to the library.

Session currently runs from March 11th to April 19th.

Our preschool programs are designed for children to learn independence from their caregivers. Each week we will focus on a different STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) topic using books, songs and activities to support the theme.
Family Storytime
(all ages with adult)
Wednesdays
10:00 - 10:30am
Children of all ages with their caregivers are invited to attend this program which includes books, fingerplays, songs, and puppets based on a weekly theme.
Arts & Crafts Storytime
(ages 3-6)
Thursdays
10:00 - 10:45am
Our preschool programs are designed for children to learn independence from their caregivers. Each week we will focus on a different theme. Books, songs, rhymes, and an art activity will all be part of the fun.
Big Kids Storytime

Every other Monday starting March 11th

4:00 - 4:45pm

Join us for a fun storytime for kids in grades K-2.  We'll read more in depth books, and follow our stories with an accompanying craft. Children attend this event independently, without a caregiver.

If Dover schools are cancelled due to inclement weather, story times will be cancelled (even if the library is open).
