Frank Bartlett Williams was born in Dover in 1850, the son of Isaac B. and Hannah (Chamberlin) Williams. He attended Dover Schools and graduated from Franklin Academy. At the age of 21 he was made a member of his father’s firm and the name was changed to I.B. Williams & Son. When his father died in 1885, he became president of the company. He was a director of the Strafford National Bank from 1906 until his death on October 31, 1920. Frank married Elizabeth Locke, they lived at 103 Silver Street and had two daughters, Marguerite and Dorothy, Mary Elizabeth Williams died December 24, 1946.
