Portion of Portland Avenue closed today

Between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 16, Portland Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Cochecho Street and Chapel Street to allow the Community Services Department to perform road work.
Outbound traffic will be diverted onto Cochecho Street, toward Atlantic Avenue or Oak Street. Inbound traffic will be diverted onto Chapel Street and Broadway.
Local traffic to businesses at 44 Portland Avenue will be permitted from either direction.
