Community Services staff will assist with inquiries, concerns, or requests related to our department's services. Whether you have a question about road maintenance, waste collection, snow removal, permitting, or other public works matters, we are here to help. We strive to provide timely and efficient responses to your needs.
Report public works issues online through the City of Dover's Service Request Portal at https://service.dover.nh.gov/RequestPortal. Access the Service Request Portal through the Contact Us button on the top-right of the city's website.
Each service request generates a digital work order that allows it to be tracked by the department. That work order and subsequent updates will be emailed to the service requester.
"Please don't assume that we know there is an issue," said Community Services Director John Storer. "Often, we'll know about an issue much faster if the public reports it."
Alternatively, the public may call Community Services at 603-516-6450, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The after-hours city contact is Dover Police dispatch at 603-742-4646, available 24/7.
