The Recycling Center is open:
Mixed Paper/Cardboard Paper bags, catalogs, junk mail, magazines, phone books, paper egg cartons, newspapers, paperboard, office paper, computer paper, envelopes, carbonless paper, paperback books (hardcover books accepted but covers must be torn off & put in regular trash).
Plastics labeled 1, 2 and 5 are allowed however black, gray or dk. blue 1, 2 or 5 plastic containers are not allowed).
No plastic food/beverage containers larger than a five gallon bucket will be accepted.
No plastic bags or Styrofoam.
Glass, glassware, ceramics, plates, pottery, food, beverage containers and porcelain.
No auto/safety/tempered glass, windows, plate glass or fish tanks will be accepted.
Waste Oil Fluids, Oil Filters, used motor oil, kerosene, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluid, diesel fuel, heating oil or oil filters. Oil tanks must be emptied and cut in half.
As of March 1, 2010, no resident will be allowed to dump their own oil. All waste oil must be in clear one gallon containers. All waste oil containers must have the resident’s name, address and phone number written on each container. All one gallon clear waste oil containers must be inspected by recycling personnel before being left for disposal.
Light Iron Scrap metal, washers, dryers, ovens, grills, dishwashers, large metal items. Tops must be removed from 55 gallon drums.
Yard Waste Leaves, grass, brush.
Batteries: Automobile, boat, motorcycle, lawn tractor, lithium, NiCad and rechargeable.
Tin cans, steel cans, aluminum cans, clean foil products, empty aerosol cans & air-dried empty paint cans.
CONSTRUCTION/DEMOLITION DEBRIS
All sheet rock, insulation, wooden storm windows, shingles, carpeting, vinyl siding & flooring, plastic or Formica counter tops, horsehair plaster, painted/vinyl fencing, PVC/plastic pipe, pressure treated wood, rugs, tubs, toilets, sinks, wood and masonry debris. The construction & demo debris bin is available year round.
Construction/Demolition debris scale closes 15 minutes before the recycling center closes.

Residents and contractors will be required to pay on a per-load basis. Running a tab and paying after a final load is not allowed.
New dump trailer and vehicle restrictions as of Aug. 1, 2023:
As of Aug. 1, 2023, the New Hampshire Department of Labor has mandated that all recycling/transfer facilities install safety barriers 42 inches high in front of any and all collection containers that present a potential fall hazard to employees and residents. However, the safety barriers will prevent dump trailers and vehicles dumping directly into these containers; instead, the material will need to unloaded by hand.

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT:
Televisions must be brought to the Recycling Center. The cost of disposal is $10.00 for TV's up to and including 36" and $20.00 for TV's over 36".
Microwaves must be brought to the Recycling Center. There is a $10.00 disposal fee per microwave.
Freon items: Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers. $20.00 Charge to dispose of.
Checks and Credit Cards Only (2.79% fee associated with use of credit card)
Gas tanks must be emptied and have a hole punctured in the side of them.
OTHER ITEMS ACCEPTED:
NOTE: Curbside recycling will not collect plastic bottles or metal/tin items that are placed curbside in plastic or paper bags. You must use an 18-gallon or less container. Paper must be either bundled or put in a paper bag. Cardboard boxes must be broken down, bundled and placed next to the recycling bin.

Recycling bins can be purchased for $8.00 per bin. They are available at the Recycling Center, the City Clerk's Office or at Community Services.
Please remember that your trash/recycling must be placed CURBSIDE by 7:00 am to be picked up.
