Special Permits

APPLY FOR MOST LICENCES AND PERMITS THROUGH ONLINE PORTAL

The City of Dover utilizes an online permit system to streamline the process for applying for and renewing permits and licenses, submitting construction plans and scheduling inspections.

This includes the following permits:

• Raffle, Tag and/or Block Party
• Taxi License
• Peddler Permit (for use of up to 12 weeks)
• Peddler License (annual)
• Parade, Road Race, and/or Road Toll Event
• Notification to City Hall (used to notify the city of an upcoming event).

Available 24 hours a day, the city's portal for permits, plans and licensing at https://permits.dover.nh.gov allows customers to utilize the system without entering a municipal building.

APPLICATIONS NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH THE ONLINE PORTAL

Not all permits and licenses have online applications available yet. These applications must be submitted directly to the City Clerk's Office, located on the ground floor of City Hall in the Customer Service Center. 

TaxiCabs licensed in Dover

The following taxicab providers are currently licensed to operate in the City of Dover:

• Atlantic Taxi
• A Kab Taxi
• Royal Taxi, LLC
• SAI Cab 

Taxicabs operating in the City of Dover must obtain a license to do so, per Chapter 129 of the City of Dover code. Applications are available at https://permits.dover.nh.gov.
