Has the long winter made you weary of high utility bills? Then you should join Dover’s Energy Commission’s launch of Energize 360. Energize 360’s aim is to aid residential customers take control of their energy future by lowering energy use, driving down energy costs and transitioning to clean energy. The launch program will be on Saturday, April 8, at the City Hall auditorium, from 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Energize 360 seeks to reduce residential energy use and shift energy supply by encouraging the generation of clean energy throughout the Seacoast. This initiative is a community outreach and educational campaign with three simple themes: measuring energy usage, reducing energy consumption and encouraging renewable energy production.

Energize 360 is a partnership between Seacoast Regional Energy Hub, Seacoast Area Renewable Energy Initiative (SEAREI), ReVision Energy and Yankee Thermal Imaging. The participating program vendors were selected by an independent committee of seacoast energy committees and commissions through a competitive bidding process that took into consideration competence and cost. The program is not sponsored by the City of Dover.

Every participant will get a free site visit, a Home Heating Index score, and a comprehensive analysis of their energy usage specific to their home. Energize 360 offers energy audits, weatherization, solar electric system installations, and heat pump installations, as well as help in qualifying for all available rebates and incentives.

Energize 360 participants will receive service discounts and funding for clean energy projects in our community. The funds available for community projects and the discounts available to homeowners and business owners will both increase as community participation in the campaign increases.

RSVPs to https://energize360dover.eventbrite.com are encouraged for the April 8 launch event, but are not required. If possible, please bring utility and heating fuel bills to launch event.

A series of educational events are scheduled after the April 8 Dover kickoff date.
