Property tax bills will be mailed to property owners on Friday, May 1. It’s the second half of the annual tax bill, due Monday, June 1, 2026.
Property tax payments can be made online by clicking the "Pay My Bill" button on the City's home page at www.dover.nh.gov. Payment of property tax bills is only available for current-year tax bills and is not available for properties with prior-year tax liens. The payment processing company charges a fee to complete an online transaction. For credit card payments, the fee is 2.5% of the payment. For electronic check payments (ACH), there is a $1 fee. Credit cards accepted include Mastercard and Visa. Discover and American Express are not accepted.
Payment can also be made by mail, in person at the City Clerk and Tax Collector's Office, or by using the dropbox in the vestibule of the Customer Service Center at City Hall, which is accessible from the Locust Street side of City Hall.
As calculated and certified by the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration, the City of Dover's property tax rate for fiscal year 2026 (tax year 2025) is $19.68 per $1,000 assessed valuation.
