CRIME SCENE UNIT RESPONSIBILITIES
- On-call 24 hours a day
- Photograph and document crime scenes
- Locate and collect evidence
- Construct crime scene diagrams
- Process evidence: footwear impressions, fingerprints, serological stains (DNA), trace evidence
- Compare crime scenes to statements
- Crime scene reconstruction: shooting incident reconstruction, bloodstain pattern analysis, arson investigations
