The City of Dover will begin its fall flushing of fire hydrants on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Most flushing will occur from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and should be completed within six weeks.

As a result of flushing, some slight discoloration may be noticed in water. If discoloration occurs, it may clear up if residents run the cold water tap for several minutes. Customers may also experience low water pressure while flushing is in progress. Customers are urged to check their water for these issues before bathing or starting laundry.

If residents have any questions or concerns, or if discoloration will not clear, please contact Dover Community Services during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at (603) 516-6450.
