French Cross Road closed until this afternoon

Due to excessive water, French Cross Road will be closed today, April 7, 2017 until 2:30 p.m. The closure is necessary to allow crews to pump water from the road.

The road will reopen this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. and remain open through the weekend, but will tentatively be closed again between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

Local traffic on the Madbury side of the road can access the area from Route 9, and the Dover side can be accessed from Tolend Road, up to the causeway. No through traffic is permitted.
